About Les Misérables

You're Cosette!

You've grown up sheltered and innocent, though that doesn't mean you're spineless. You love your daddy, you love your boyfriend, and you get to live happily ever after. Lucky you.

Which Les Miz Woman Are You?

You're Courfeyrac!
Wise guy, ladies' man, trusty sidekick, and invaluable friend. You're the life of the party, and are kind to random confused boys.

Which Barricade Boy Are You?

You're Favourite!
Who you are: Fantine's girlhood pal.

This is your life: Your father was a math professor and your mother was a chambermaid. You were dating this guy back in '17, and then he dumped you, and all his friends dumped all your friends. Men. Go figure.

Random fact: You visited England once. What this has to do with your name is unclear.

...and what Obscure Minor Character In Les Miserables are you

You're... "A Heart Full Of Love"

A heart full of light!
A night bright as day!

You're sweet and predictable as a Hallmark card, except for that little note of pathos.

What's Your Les Miz Themesong?

About Fleeting Beauty

Would you?

He holds her in his arms, would you? Would you?
He tells her of her charms, would you? Would you?
They met as you and I and they were only friends
But before the story ends

He'll kiss her with a sigh, would you? Would you?
And if the girl were I, would you? Would you?
And would you dare to say let's do the same as they
I would, would you?

And would you dare to say let's do the same as they
I would, would you?

Too short, too soon.

Anyway, had one more colour goddess test. Refused to paste it here. Looks awful. But you all can read the desciptor.

VIOLET represents the seventh and highest quality a person attains
- noble spiritual aspiration.
Its planet is Jupiter, rules the metal tin and the jewel Sapphire.
In its medical action it approaches the realm of ultraviolet.
It cools the nerves, is magnetic and antiseptic.
Purple and violet speak of honor,
spirituality and self-esteem.

About Infinite Wisedom

"Obvious Rule No.1", wrote Alan Ayckbourn (the genius who brought us The Death of a Salesman) in his how-to-write-a-play guidebook, The Crafty Art of Playmaking, "Never look down on comedy or regard it as the poor cousin of drama".

Here's to The Nose.

About Court Shoes

Court shoes. Court shoes. Such a pretty name. Court shoes. Used to think they were "cord" shoes. Not half the beauty.

Ran today in my court shoes. Same pair of court shoes I ran around in for RMUN. Somehow in the corner of my eye I saw the image of myself in blazer, whites, stockings...in the midst of it all. In the midst of it all. CAP, RMUN, APM, then DramaFest, then Inter Fac Games... Never so involved ever. A year of excitement all recaptured running in a pair of court shoes.

Those turbulent days. Fond memories. I feel old.

Remember reading somewhere that if you can reminisce the past and lament the passing of youth, it shows how young you really are. Little girl.

As Dorothy a pair of red slippers to bring her to her heart's desire, so the little girl a pair of black court shoes.

About Eggs

He looked at the nest of eggs with wide-opened eyes, full of the wonder and amazement that fills a child who has seen something new and magical for the first time in his life. Eggs. Warm, smooth, round, brown eggs. Eggs, that would soon hatch into little boy and girl chickens. (Eggs that made for a good breakfast but that was beside the point)

He edge closer cautiously. Wow.

Then peck, peck went the little chick with his little beck as he killed his little brother.

About Roses

French AOs yesterday. Went to school. Of course if I'm blogging this it must mean something significant happened. Could tell you how I reached school only 10 minutes before the paper started though the entry proof says to be there half-an-hour early, and how I rushed and stumbled up the stairs all the way to the hall only to find that the French paper was supposed to be held in 2-10, or how I only finished the crucial part of my essay in the last 10 minutes and kind of cursed my grandfather in it with that but I shall do none of the above. Rather, I shall lament the sad turn of events which have befallen me.

Passed by LT2.5 and saw this huge, pretty, nice, colourful poster thing the O-team had painted. Then as I traipsed along the corridor with the short flight of steps leading to the council room (you know the one beside which is the bamboo garden and which kind of leads to the canteen or the concourse depending on which path you choose [which reminds me of the Robert Frost poem]) I saw the O-team members hopping away incoherently to the music of next year's batch dance.

I could have sworn I would have killed myself.

Hey they might have looked inept but at least they were having fun having psycho-motor problems. I want to be in O-team too.

Nobody understands why I want to be in O-team. Sometimes if I really think hard I don't think I know why I really want to be in O-team either. Did I really enjoy Orientation that much? Come on, I don't even like/talk to some of the people who were in my OG. But then when I relook the past if you ask me whether or not I'd want to relive Orientation I'd say "yes" over and again and again and again and again. I suppose it was all a rose-tinted illusion, born of hopeful idealism and the weird things going into a new environment does to the chemicals in your brain. Though I know I shall always recall Orientation as those dappled, golden, halcyon days. Their memory might be nothing close to what their reality was like but what does it matter? What I shall fondly recollect ages and ages hence will be the hallowed version in any case.

So I suppose that's why I want to be in O-team. To relive a dream-like figment of my imagination. To write for others a dream. Sad? Perhaps. But I think everyone should be allowed a history revisited in rose.

La vie en rose. Je vois la vie en rose

About Resentment

Mr Reeves said at Econs yesterday how he would resent the three-and-a-half hours he had spent at an MOE meeting, the day before, on this deathbed.

On my deathbed, how many three-and-a-half hours would I resent? How many three-and-a-half hours would I regret? So many things done and undone. Duty over desire, then desire over duty. How will my dying soul judge my life?

Just to return to the start to do everything all over.

But then, would really much be changed?

Car l'aurore n'arrivera jamais
Le soleil a oublié ses rayons et s'est effacé

Je suis dans l'exil
Toute seule, il faut escalader l'escarpement de la vie

Je tâtonne, ne voyant rien
Je suis au bord de l'abîme, sans toi

To be said

You always said you did not like the night
You would ask, eyes pensive, how I could love
Something so dark and sombre
I would smile, laugh and say you would never understand
For you were always a creature of the light

Now, what does it matter that I love the night
And bask in the kindness of its cold
And sleep under its blanket of silence
For they are all that shield me from the sorrow and silence that grow

It's just as well that I love the night
For dawn will never arrive
The sun has withdrawn its rays and faded away

I am in exile
All alone, I must scale the steep slope of Life

I grope around, not seeing anything
I am on the brink of collapse, without you

About Identities

Find your inner Smurf!

A formidable creature half lion and half eagle, the griffin is said to be one thousand times stronger than any lion and five thousand times as arsighted as an eagle. It has a strange talent that when people are around it, they find themselves unable to lie. The griffin is also said to be fierce and untamed. It was a protecter against evil and people often wore talismans of a griffin's claw to protect them from demons. Griffins were often used as trasport for the gods. They were also reputed to swoop down from the montains on occasion and pick up goats and small horses and bring them back to their nests for their young.

As Rafflesian as it gets.
